When things go wrong (we fail) we are inclined to blame other people or external factors. (And do the opposite when things go wrong.) I believe the best life strategy is do the opposite: When things go right (success) we should be humble in recognizing the role luck and others played and when things go wrong, we should shoulder the blame. Not because it makes the failure palatable, but because it allows us to learn from failure.
By adopting this approach, we can grow and build on success (not get arrogant) and we can learn from failure (not get despondent)
